An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is an evaluation performed by a private clinician that is not connected to your child’s school district. When parents disagree with a public-school district’s special education evaluation of their child, they may request an IEE. IEEs can also be used to resolve disagreements between parents and school districts when they agree that independent review of the child’s functioning and the educational program is needed.
Dr. Richard Ziegler has been conducting IEEs in Minnesota for over 20 years. He is highly regarded in the forensic neuropsychology field due to his medical-legal expertise and in-depth knowledge of the educational system.
If you are interested in seeking Dr. Ziegler’s services, please contact us by phone at (952) 236-1267. IEE requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. Fee schedule and evaluation details will be discussed prior to scheduling.
