Our child neuropsychologists are specially trained in the evaluation and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). Our autism evaluations involve a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation in addition to autism-specific testing.
This unique approach to testing ensures that we have a full picture of your child’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing us to optimize treatment planning.
It also provides your family with the shortest, most straightforward path to diagnosis, speeding up your access to the supports you need.
What is the evaluation process?
STEP 1 – Contact Us
Contact us by phone (952-236-1267) or via the contact form. We will do a brief screening to ensure that we can meet your child’s needs and help you move to the next step, if appropriate.
STEP 2 – Complete Paperwork
Complete the intake paperwork via the patient portal or by mail. This allows us to prepare for your appointment in advance.
STEP 3 – Schedule Appointment
Schedule your appointment via the patient portal or by phone. Most school-aged children require one appointment the length of a school day.
STEP 4 – Attend Appointment
Attend your appointment. A legal guardian must be present with the child for the appointment. During the appointment we will conduct interviews, administer tests, and communicate the results to caregivers verbally.
STEP 5 – Written Report
Obtain the written report. We will send you a detailed neuropsychological evaluation report approximately 2-4 weeks after your appointment. This report can also be sent to other providers at your request.
STEP 6 – Implement Treatment
Implement treatment recommendations and watch your child gain the support and confidence they need to grow!
STEP 7 – Schedule Follow-Up Evaluations
We will contact you to schedule follow-up evaluations as recommended by your provider to ensure your child continues to thrive. You can also contact us for re-evaluation prior to major life transitions, when growth plateaus, or when new obstacles emerge. We will be happy to help!
